G. Pion

G. Pion – Fencing Swords & Equipment made in Paris

G. Pion and it’s parent company H-Genique were Parisian fencing equipment suppliers. They manufactured foils, epees and sabres as well as accouterments such as masks, trousers, gloves, shoes, and more. Their blades are marked “G. Pion” with the image of a lion. The lion mark gave the business the nickname “Pion-Lion.” Their weaponry and accouterments were similar in quality to their contemporary Souzy de Lacam, and advertisements for both companies ran side by side in French magazines through the 1940s.
